Bailemos is a design proposal brought up from a social, sustainable, functional and aesthetic point of view, which generates a feeling of community from the earliest phase of the project. The choice of this design, its shape and its materials are directly related to the trace left behind by the movement of dancing bodies, and at the same time, with the landscape of the place it is located in.

The project is a huge organic roof that houses different programs underneath, from a central plaza open to the public, to 3 dance halls, a music room, a gym, a cafeteria, two changing rooms and an administration area. The roof takes shape integrating with the landscape and its surroundings and communicating the market next door with the project in order to better integrate the neighborhood.

The materials and construction methods generate a feeling of belonging for the people in the community since they build the center with their own hands, identifying with the space and feeling part of it. The materials are local, low cost and easy to assemble. Thin bamboo canes and adobe walls predominate in the space, making it both cozy and sustainable.

Bailemos es una propuesta pensada desde un punto de vista social, sostenible, funcional y estético, que genera un sentimiento de comunidad desde la ante fase del proyecto. La elección de este diseño, su forma y sus materiales está directamente relacionada con la huella y el movimiento del baile y al mismo tiempo, con el paisaje del lugar donde se ubica.

El proyecto es una enorme cubierta de caña y adobe que alberga distintos programas en el interior, desde una plaza central abierta al público, hasta 3 salones de baile, un salón de música, un gimnasio, una cafetería, dos vestuarios y una zona de administración. La cubierta toma forma relacionándose con el entorno y comunicando el mercado de al lado con el centro, para así integrar de mejor manera a la comunidad.

Los materiales y métodos de construcción están pensados para que las mismas personas del distrito puedan construir el centro y de esta manera, generar un sentimiento de pertenencia, que se puedan identificar con el espacio y se sientan parte de él. Los materiales son locales, de bajo costo y de fácil montaje. La caña y el adobe predominan en el espacio haciéndolo acogedor y sostenible.
