The appearance of new materials, the rural exodus, globalization, the lack of generational replacement, added to the COVID-19 that seriously threatens the elderly population, make this a critical moment for crafts, carried out in regions of Spain on the brink of extinction. As a consequence, much of the intangible cultural heritage would be lost: the knowledge acquired and transmitted from generation to generation, and with it, a cultural diversity of incalculable value.
Eusebia tries to avoid emptiness through a tool that unites master craftsmen with apprentices. It consists of a digital directory that brings together the latest master craftsmen in Spain. Archived by crafts and regions, artisans will be able to locate by aspiring apprentices and future masters. In a way that guarantees the continuity of the most vulnerable craftsmanship in these uncertain times.

La aparición de nuevos materiales, el éxodo rural, la globalización, la falta de relevo generacional, sumado a la pandemia de la COVID-19 que amenaza gravemente a la población de mayores, hacen que este sea un momento crítico para la artesanía, llevada en regiones de la “España vacía” al borde de la extinción. Como consecuencia, se perdería gran parte del patrimonio cultural inmaterial: el conocimiento adquirido y transmitido de generación en generación, y con él, una diversidad cultural de un valor incalculable.
Eusebia pretende evitar el vacío, que se pierda el conocimiento acumulado y transmitido durante generaciones, mediante una herramienta que une a maestrxs artesanxs con aprendices. Consiste en un directorio digital que reúne lxs últimxs maestrxs artesanxs de España. Archivados por oficios y regiones, lxs artesanxs podrán localizar a aspirantes de aprendices y en definitiva, formar a lxs futurxs maestrxs. De manera que se garantice la continuidad de los oficios más vulnerables en estos momentos inciertos para la artesanía.
