2d animation project using the traditional frame-by-frame or drawing-by-drawing technique, for the development of an emotional and educational short film. “When fate is red” is an animated short film developed and thought for the viewer’s personal immersion and identification with the characters and the story. It is about sending an important message to the viewers so that they can reconsider their situation and make positive changes in their lifes. The message you are trying to convey is summarized in «find happiness in yourself before in others», it is a constructive criticism of those thoughts that lead us to neglect ourselves and give us less importance and value in front of others. For this project, the participation of 3 Junior animators has been required, working on this project for 4 consecutive months. The ethics or work structure was based on the distribution of work in different sections: sketching, painting and scenarios. It has supported the main work to make the short film, which reinforced with secondary tasks such as presentations, investigations, references, rendering, etc., has allowed for the uniform development of the project. To give the animation even more meaning, elements typical of oriental culture have been introduced for a greater setting in history. Finally, after viewing the short film, what is expected or the objective that has been achieved is the retraining of viewers, and their improvement on a personal level and different aspects of their internal psychology such as self-esteem.

Proyecto de animación 2d mediante la técnica tradicional ‘frame’ a ‘frame’ o dibujo a dibujo, para el desarrollo de un corto emotivo y educativo. “When fate is red” es un corto de animación desarrollado y pensado para la inmersión e identificación personal del espectador con los personajes y la historia. Se trata de enviar un mensaje importante a los espectadores para que recapaciten sobre su situación y realicen cambios positivos en sus vidas. El mensaje que trata de trasladar se resume en “encuentra la felicidad en ti mismo antes que en los demás”, es una crítica constructiva hacia aquellos pensamientos que nos llevan a descuidarnos y a darnos menos importancia y valor frente a los demás. Para este proyecto se ha requerido de la participación de 3 animadores Junior, trabajando en dicho proyecto durante 4 meses seguidos. La ética o estructura de trabajo se basó en la repartición del trabajo en diferentes secciones: bocetado, pintado y escenarios. Sobre esa estructura se ha sustentado el trabajo principal para realizar el corto, que reforzado con tareas secundarias como presentaciones, investigaciones, referencias, renderizado etc , ha permitido lograr el desarrollo uniforme del proyecto. Para darle más significado aún a la animación se han introducido elementos propios de la cultura oriental para mayor ambientación de la historia. Finalmente, tras la visualización del corto lo que se espera o el objetivo que se ha querido conseguir es la recapacitación de los espectadores, y su mejora a nivel personal y diferentes aspectos de su psicología interna como puede ser la autoestima.
